Last fall, Brian made a generous purchase at his school's athletic auction, and brought home several dozens(!) of bottles of wine. Yes, I did say, "!!!!!!" As a part of the package, a local winery included a private tasting and tour of their facilities. So this weekend, we finally cashed in on the opportunity, and brought a few friends along for the day. We ended up lucking out with beautiful weather, and generous family (thank you, Dan and Lacey, for stepping in as last minute babysitters!), and with 4 of the 6 of us on summer break, rest, relaxation, and laughter were on the menu, as were dozens of wines.
By the end of the day, we were all wishing we had a few more hours, and a bit more room in our bellies to continue on, but settled for the promise to make this a new tradition.
