34 weeks, and growing!

We had a special ultrasound appointment yesterday to explore the reason that my tummy is measuring larger than it should. Here's what we found out:
1. Baby Aubrey has a big head
2. She weighs an estimated 5 lb. 15 oz. right now
3. She has hair! (Yes, enough to see on the ultrasound!)
4. I have an "abundant" amount of amniotic fluid
5. It is likely that Aubrey will be another February baby, not a March one
6. I am scared to find out how big this child will be by the time she is born. Truly.

Considering the above, and the fact that I feel as though I can barely walk these days, I plan on leaving work by 38 weeks. If anything changes, or I begin progressing earlier than anticipated, the Dr. will move that date back. HOPEFULLY this will give me at least a few days' rest before Aubrey decides to make her appearance. The Dr. didn't seem to think I'd be any good at work those last few weeks before my due date. I told her I wasn't any good right now either, but she wouldn't sign that release form! :)

So, we are left to exercise our patience, and hope that I can hang on long enough to celebrate Camryn's birthday on the 16th. We'll see....!

32 weeks and counting...

We've reached the 32 week mark! Only 8 weeks to go. I'm still not sure where any additional baby is going to go, as it feels like Aubrey has already reached the capacity of my belly! We see the doctor every other week now, and she's pleased so far with the lack of major medical medical issues, like we experienced with Camryn's pregnancy. We just keep thinking positive and moving forward one day at a time...slowly...and with great effort... :)

Aubrey's nursery

With a little bit of time off to catch our breath this Winter Break, we've been able to complete the nursery. It now looks ready, minus a few minor details. Even though the room seems finished, there is still much to be done before Aubrey's arrival, including feeling ready ourselves!

Santa came!!!

Santa made it! Camryn was so excited. She wasn't quite sure how to play with so many new things at once. Nearly all of her gifts were opened to squeals of "My favorite!" Santa must have done alright. :)

We were all snuggled in our jammies, and had just put out milk and cookies for Santa. We decided to take one last photo to document Camryn's sheer excitement. She soon noticed that there isn't as much room on Mommy's lap as there used to be...

Camryn was so excited for Santa to come! She was thrilled to attend our family's Christmas Eve get together in her party dress. Watch out Santa! This one's a little sassy!
