Happy Easter!

We kicked off our celebration the night before Easter this year, with some serious egg-dying.  The girls were totally into drawing and designing before dying this year.  :)  Once the eggs were ready, and the carrots set out for the big bunny, the girls were off to bed...but not necessarily to sleep.  Aubrey was awake until 10:30(!) because she was SO excited for his arrival.

We woke up to a beautiful, sunny day!  We worked hard the day before, prepping our yard to be egg hunt-worthy, and the girls created a message for our guests as well...

Once the family arrived for brunch, the fun REALLY began!  The girls read Keira her new Easter book...

And everyone was clamoring to hold Baby Josephine.  :)

 

 

 

 

We did our best to get a good photo of all four girls.  Can't believe that next year, there will be another little body to fit in that chair!

Then it was time for an egg hunt!  I sure hope we stuffed enough eggs!  (Sheesh!)

After opening up all the goodies, Grandpa and Keira played "beauty parlor."  :)

By the end of the afternoon, everybody needed a good nap.  Happy Easter, everyone!

 

Great Wolf Lodge!

Our second major outing of Spring Break was a trip up to Washington to Great Wolf Lodge.  Wow!  What an adventure!  There was so much to do, that our quick, two day trip was PACKED!

We did so many things, including:  Gearing up with "Wolf Ears,"

Playing the game "MagiQuest" (for HOURS) that sends you running around the property, enchanting objects, and collecting points, medallions, etc.  The girls loved this!

Eating a special dinner in a "tent":

Watching the clock tower show and listening to storytime in our PJs, while eating ice cream(!),

 

Playing in the arcade,

Playing glow-in-the-dark mini golf,

And most importantly, playing in the WATER PARK!!!  There was so much to do!  There was a wading pool with climb-ons and squirting toys, a wave pool that simulated ocean currents, a climbing/sport pool with objects to climb on, and basketball to play, multiple slides and rides, and a tree fort in the center of it all with more slides and wet, slippery, climbing fun! 

To top it all off, every 3 or 4 minutes or so, that giant bucket at the top of the fort would tip, causing a massive tsunami-like wave to crash over everyone/thing in it's path.

Playing around...  Soaking wet, and SO happy.  :)  They didn't want to go home...

Even with all that fun, we still didn't get to try everything GWL had to offer.  We will definitely have to return again some day!
