This year was the first Halloween in many years where it POURED down rain. We made sure to get cute photos before we left, because after dinner at the Frye's, we hit the streets with rain boots, rain coasts, and umbrellas hiding most of the kids' costumes. Because the weather was so nasty, there weren't many trick or treaters out and about, which meant the kids received
handfuls of candy at most houses. At that point, they didn't seem to mind the rain so much, since the payoff was so good. :)
Once we made it from the Frye's down to our house, we threw everyone's coats and costume pieces in the dryer, and took a break to hand out candy to other trick or treaters for a bit. Soon enough, they were ready to head out again...just in time for the Harms' party wagon to roll on by and pick us up for more fun. We ended our evening with candy counting, a movie, and a backyard fire with all our friends. Happy Halloween!
