Lego Land!

What can I say about Lego Land? Well...I can say that it was perfect for our girls at ages 4 and 7. It was clean. It required less walking, as the attractions were closer together (good for little legs!) It had just about everything you could imagine MADE OUT OF LEGOS, including entire cities, and giant replicas of animals, life size cars, and Einstein's head. It contained a section paying homage to the original southern culture attraction in that area: Cypress Gardens, and it was just plain FUN! (I mean, really. Who doesn't like Legos?)

Disney Boardwalk

One evening, we headed over to check out the Disney Boardwalk. We figured it would be kind of like Downtown Disney, and it turned out to be...well...a subdued, "older crowd" version. Kind of. The boardwalk is where several of the Disney hotels are, as well as restaurants, shopping, etc. All of the storefronts lead out to a man-made boardwalk, meant to be reminiscent of a coastal town. It all surrounds a lake of sorts, on the side of which, you can catch a water taxi to the different parks. All and all, it's pretty mellow and subdued, especially in relation to all things Disney.

We did enjoy a nice stroll along the waterfront, peeked at storefronts, visited the man-made white sand beach, and took some sweet photos. The best part however, was cramming ourselves into a photo booth to get some family pics. Hysterical stuff, if I do say so myself! :)

Sea World

We also visited SeaWorld while we were in town, home of the world-famous Shamu! I have to say, the rides and games couldn't quite compare to Disney; they were more along the lines of county fair meets Oregon Coast Aquarium. But the shows. Oh, the shows! Those dolphins and orcas are amazing creatures! Those two shows were worth the ticket price right there. Add to it that we actually got to pet the rays, and feed/pet the dolphins! Well, that just put us over the top! The animals were definitely the stars of our day!!!
