California Adventure

SURPRISE!!!

Although we've been planning this surprise for well over a year, we woke the girls up in the wee hours of Friday the 6th, to ask if maybe, perhaps (if they had no other pressing), they'd like to possibly go to Disneyland with us that day?  Needless to say, they resounding answer was, "YES!"  So off we went to the airport, to hop a plane to the "Happiest Place on Earth."  We stayed five days and five nights, and literally wore. ourselves. out. having fun.  All four of us were utterly exhausted by the time we made it home.  And it felt fabulous.  :)

4th of July

We were so excited to attend the annual 4th of July parade with our family out in Hillsboro again this year, but this time our friends, The Fryes came with us as well!  It was so fun to have a whole pack of little ones waving, gasping with excitement, and collecting candy.  As always, Grandma and Grandpa hosted, and put on an amazing BBQ lunch spread afterwards.  Fun and tasty!

 When we got home later that afternoon, we hosted a block party on our street.  The Fryes joined us again, as did Lacey, Dan, Keira, and about 60 of our neighbors!  I think we've officially sparked a Mulberry Drive tradition!  :)  

We all enjoyed chit chatting, riding bikes, food, drinks, and fireworks until late into the night.  In fact, the kids were SO exhausted from their day of fun, that Aubrey literally went in and sat on the couch to rest while we folded up chairs and picked up garbage, and fell immediately asleep, glow sword still in hand.  This proved as the official indication that the day was a success!  :)  Happy 4th!!!
