Zoo surpise!

At the zoo with friends on Friday, the kids wandered ahead, and the adults turned the corner to see this!

Characters

Somehow, our two girls managed to find almost EVERY character in both parks!  Besides the princesses at the Ariel's Grotto lunch, they waited in line for, and wandered into situations with many other beloved Disney characters...

Mommy's Disney Birthday

Sunday happened to be my birthday, and we celebrated by spending time in the Disneyland park, then going out to a yummy dinner and ice cream.  (On what other day of the year, and it what other place, can I get away with the ears, right???)

Rides!

Who doesn't love the rides at Disneyland?  That's what we all go for, right?  Well our girls were no different.  What we did discover, however, was what a daredevil Camryn is.  She was willing to at least try any and all rides, and most often rode down, and around at warp speed, with a huge grin on her face, her hands in the air, and her maniacal laugh echoing through the park. The girl LOVES herself a good roller coaster ride!

Aubrey on the other hand, was a big fan of spinning (ie. Teacups), and being high in the air, but hated anything with big drops.  Her absolute favorite was "Ariel's Undersea Adventure," which she rode somewhere between 6 and 8 times.  I gave up counting after the first three, and just checked my email and Facebook account as we floated along in our giant seashell.  (There is truly only so much time "under the sea" a girl can take...)

Princess-palooza

No stop in Anaheim would be complete without a royal lunch!  We took Camryn when she was young, but Aubrey had never been, and she was totally in awe.  :)

The lunch is held at Ariel's Grotto restaurant, so of course Ariel herself greeted her guests as they arrived...

Then the real fun began...  We feasted on a tasty meal, while the girls mingled with their favorite princesses, and collected autographs and photos.  :)

THIS was the dessert platter they brought us.  We couldn't even come close to finishing it after appetizers, salads, lunch, and drinks.  We were definitely treated like royalty!  This lunch was certainly one of the highlights of our trip!
