Mini golf

At our resort in Idaho, they had a pretty elaborate 18-hole mini golf course. Each hole was decorated to represent a different part of the state and it's history. Pretty interesting stuff! Brian of course, beat all three of us girls, but he spent a pretty good amount of time giving Aubrey golf lessons too. I think he's pretty confident that she's going to be a golfer too someday!

Idaho road trip

Well, we are back, and we all survived! A sixteen hour (round-trip) road trip with two small children may not seem like the best idea ever, but it actually turned out better than I had anticipated!

When I told most people about our impending summer plans, their first question was always, "Why Idaho?" No we don't have any family there, but we do have a generous family friend who offered up a week's worth of his time share credit to us for free(!), and northern Idaho was the closest location within budget-friendly driving distance that wasn't already booked. When we started talking about it, we discovered that near the condo was a massive theme park and water park, that we had never heard of. So we decided to give it a shot!

As it turns out, the condo was in a golf community, nestled in the mountains of northern Idaho, and was simply beautiful. We sure lucked out!

Last weekend, we had the honor of attending our friends' wedding up at The Resort at the Mountain. It was a beautiful day, and the girls were in awe of Angela in her gorgeous white gown. There were so many funny little touches that reflected their personalities. It really made it a fun wedding to attend. So congrats, neighbors! So glad we were able to spend your special day with you!

Party hard

It's so nice to have friends who live so close, that we can walk to their house for a Barbie birthday party!




But it's a bummer too, when you end the party with a skinned knee, and then your mom has to give you a piggy back all the way home. A big, big bummer.

Mommy's birthday

3 hours playing at the park, a long nap for Aubrey, BBQ chicken pizza for dinner, cupcakes and shopping after, a new book and chocolates from the girls, and the gift of relaxation from the hubs. All in all, a good day!

Playgroup gets artsy!

For our playgroup this week, we tried something new, and went to a kids' art studio. The kids were able to tie dye shirts, and then paint necklace beads too. It was a great place, that provides any type of art materials you can think of, and the space to make a mess as well. So fun!
