Pumpkin Patch 2012!

Our third trip this season, and we finally got our pumpkins!!!!  :)

Cousin Keira visit

While Dan and Lacey were vacationing for Dan's 30th birthday, cousin Keira came to stay with us for the weekend.  As luck would have it, she came down with an awful cold just before her arrival, though it didn't seem to affect her ability to play and have fun with the girls. :)   It did, however, affect her ability to sleep through the night, which in turn, affected my ability to function like a normal human being. 

By the end of the weekend, I was so exhausted I could hardly stand.  So fun, but definitely a reminder why Brian and I are *done* with the baby phase, and perfectly happy with our *two* children!  I truly have no idea how any mother cares for 3 or more on a daily basis.  My hat's off to them!!!!

Somehow, in my sleep deprived haze, we made it to Camryn's friend's birthday party at the pumpkin patch!  It was a beautiful sunny day, and while C and her friends ran around like crazies, Aubs and Keira and I ate a leisurely picnic lunch, dug for potatoes, went pumpkin bowling,  and just generally enjoyed the sites. 

We hope Keira can come back and stay again sometime.  We enjoyed having her!!!

Family Portrait

Aubrey's drawings have really taken off lately, and it is fun to see her decisions represented in the details.  Below is her latest "family portrait."  She deliberately and painstakingly colored each and every polka dot on our dresses, and chose appropriate colors of crayon for our hair (apparently my hair is black?)  Funny enough, she decided Brian was playing "hide and go seek," and "popped his head out from behind the tree so he could be in the picture too."  I think this one's a keeper...

We spent today at The Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island with the Fryes.  What a fun, sunny, beautiful fall day!!!

Soccer: Day #2

Oaks Park Oktoberfest

This weekend, we visited the "tame" version of the Oktoberfest...at Oaks Park!  We met up with the whole Borts side of the family for bratwurst, chicken dancing, beer, and rides.  Thanks, Grandpa, for sponsoring the event!
