Tree Hunt 2013

Despite the frigid temperatures this weekend (21º anyone?), and the ceaseless whining about being cold, bored, cold, hungry, cold, and tired, we trudged through acres of trees to find the *perfect* Nordmann fir for our front room.  Merry Christmas!

Turkey, pumpkin pie, baby snuggles, "Minute to Win It," whipped cream shenanigans, and jammie time!  We are thankful for such a fun, crazy family!!!

 

 

 

  

  

 

 

 

Girl Scouts visit CAT!

Last weekend, our Brownie troop visited Cat Adoption Team shelter in Sherwood to tour the facilities, visit some lonely kitties, and make a donation from the cookie money they made last Spring.  Great fun was had by all, and (miraculously!) no one went home with a kitten!!!

"Inzombiea" Scavenger Hunt 2013

For the second year in a row, the boys competed in Insomnia Coffee's local answer to The Amazing Race:  "Inzombiea 2013."  All afternoon, they raced all over Hillsboro, competing challenges and eating gross things, to come in FIRST place!  Congrats, guys!!!

While they were 'racing,' the girls (all NINE of us now!) were trick-or-treating at Grandma's, having lunch, planning for the holidays, and generally having fun.  We even managed to get a few pics of the five grandgirls in their Halloween costumes:  old lady, zebra, monkey, taco, and banana!  Hilarious!!!
