Happy 1st birthday, Bailey!

Aubrey got her ears pierced!

For months now, Aubrey has wanted to get her ears pierced.  So all summer she has been working towards this special day, saving up her "good behavior points" for the ultimate prize!  Today was the day!  We headed to the mall, and she hopped up in that chair without an ounce of hesitation.  Not a single tear was shed when the earrings went through, and she immediately smiled at her accomplishment.  As the evening went on, she said probably 48 times, "I can't believe I got my ears pierced!"  She is definitely proud of herself.  :)  (And I do have to say, she looks pretty.  darn.  cute. to boot!)

Vine Gogh for kids!

A few weeks ago, we took the kids to one of my favorite places to be creative, Vine Gogh!  There, they got a step-by-step painting lesson, and the results were adorable!

Seaside

Last week, we were surprised to find our weekend COMPLETELY OPEN.  Really, truly...you have no idea how rare this is.  With the weather forecasted to be beautiful, we loaded up the truck and headed to the coast.  The girls had been asking to go to Seaside for some time now (we usually visit comparatively laid-back Cannon Beach), so we decided to give it a try.  They were so excited, they did cartwheels on the beach!!!  :)

We got in lots of digging, splashing, paddle boat riding, arcade gaming, carousel riding, and ice cream eating in before heading home COVERED in sand.  Ahhh...summer!  :)
