Aubrey's end of season

Aubrey's last softball game was this week.  :(  In her words, "I don't want the season to end!"  She has had SO much fun these past few months, gaining new skills, making new friends, chanting and cheering, and just being active.  One night a few weeks into the season, I was tucking her into bed when she said with a sigh, "Mom,  I think I found my talent."  When I asked what that might be, she dreamily replied, "Softball."  :)

She especially loved having her daddy help coach, and she may have perhaps sweet-talked him into managing next year.  We'll have to wait and see on that.  One thing's for sure after this season, though....she's hooked.  :)

I mean...I have a lot of words, I'm just not sure which ones to use:  Adorable.  Amazing.  Grown-up.  Poised.  Proud.  Dance, girl, dance!  LOVE.

Girl Scouts go hiking!

This Spring, the GIRLS are in charge of our activities and badges!  Camryn and Macy paired off, and decided on hiking for April's badge.  They taught their troop how to prepare for hiking, how to be safe on the trail, and how to spot wildlife.  Then, they led the girls (and a few little brothers) through a trail mix creation station, and then out on the trail!  It was a beautiful day to earn a hiking badge.  :)

 

First Grade "Informance"

Instead of a full-fledged production, the first grade classes at DC always invite the parents in to see what a typical Music class actually looks like.  It was fun to see Aubrey participate!  :)
