Camryn the photographer

This summer, Camryn has been taking a photography class from one of her dance teachers who also happens to be a professional photographer.  She is learning about framing, focus, perspective, etc., as well as seeing extraordinary things in the ordinary.  Here is a sampling of some of her work...

Peach Picking

This week, the girls and I visited a local peach orchard for the first time.  It was a beautiful day, with an amazing view, and TONS of ripe, delicious peaches.  (We took home 16 pounds of them!)  YUM!

Happy 40th Anniversary, Mom & Dad!

Last weekend we took Mom and Dad out to celebrate their FOURTIETH wedding anniversary!  Years ago, the plan was for the two of them to revisit Germany this summer in celebration.  Well, when Mom's hip surgery put the kibosh on that plan, the trip got rescheduled for next summer. 
 

So, we took them to der Rheinlander restaurant instead, where we all enjoyed traditional German food and beer, singing, dancing, and general goofiness.  We gave them gifts for use on their trip, and celebrated that after 40 years they still want to go on such a big trip together.  ;)
